- Abstract:
- In order to analyze the influence of overrun rib spacing on bond strength between steel and concrete, 36 specimens with overrun and standard rib spacing were manufactured. The pullout tests which were sensitive on the shape characteristics of steel rib were carried out. The failure mode, loaddisplacement curve, carrying capacity and bond strength were analyzed by comparing the pull-out test results. The test results show that all specimens only appear bond slip failure and concrete splitting failure. The strength of all steels cannot reach their yield strength. The carrying capacity difference of the two types of specimens is 9%-15%, and the discreteness is relatively small. The bond strength of the two types of specimens differs by less than 12.4%.There is no effect on bond strength of concrete and steel when the rib spacing overruns about 10% while they are satisfied the anchorage length and lap length.
