- Abstract:
- Combined with the common practice in practical engineering and using YX-35-125-750 pressure plate which was commonly used in the wall, the skin diaphragm structure was assembled with selftapping screws as connecting pieces and the shear tests were carried out. The influence laws of selftapping screw spacing and layout form, thickness of profiled sheet and number of purlins on shear strength and stiffness of skin diaphragm structure were explored. Through the analysis of experimental phenomena, the final failure modes of 5 groups of specimens and the influences of different factors on skin effect were discussed. The simplified calculation formula of the design method of cold bending skin diaphragm in the United States (AISI method) was introduced, and the ultimate shear strength and stiffness of the skin diaphragm specimen were calculated by the simplified formula. The results show that the whole shear strength and stiffness of structure can be improved by reasonably arranging the connecting pieces and the span of plates or selecting the thickness of plate. According to the conventional construction method, the influence of skin effect on the whole structure can be controlled by adjusting the above factors.
