- Abstract:
- In order to compare and analyze the applicability of different fracture models in fracture failure prediction of steel structures, three typical fracture models (void growth model, GTN damage model and continuum damage model) were selected to predict the fracture behavior of steel structure. Firstly, the fracture model parameters of Q345 steel and welded metal were calibrated based on the test results. Then, the three fracture models were embedded into the finite element analysis program through the user subroutine of ABAQUS. Finally, the three models were applied to the analysis of the fracture of perforated plate and welded joints of beam column. The results show that the three models can well predict the crack initiation and development process of perforated plates and welded joints. The three models have the same prediction accuracy for the fracture displacement of perforated plate. For relatively complex beam column welded joints, the prediction accuracy of GTN model for crack initiation displacement is significantly higher than the other two models.
