Abstract:
The theoretical calculation formulas of yield capacity, ultimate bearing capacity and buckling capacity of steel plate shear wall with slits(SPWS)were introduced. These theoretical calculation formulas of bearing capacities were compared and analyzed. Based on a lot of finite element calculation results, the detailed constructional measures to ensure “buckling occurring after plasticity” of SPWS were given. The results show that considering material hardening can rise about 10% ultimate bearing capacity of SPWS. The height of middle wall will affect the plastic development degree of SPWS. Vertical slits can decrease 30% to 40% buckling load of steel plate shear walls.
