Abstract:
According to the concept of sustainable development, the correct preservation and reasonable renovation of historical district in cities were studied. Authors discussed how to treat historical district in western China under the guidance of sustainable development strategy and put forward some related countermeasures and suggestions. On the basis of looking back on the course of the development of Chinese historical district conservation, authors summarized and analyzed the experience lessons and causes; meanwhile, the planning characteristics of historical conservation and rehabilitation were analyzed. Authors also pointed out the problems on the conservation of historical district style and architecture preservation renovation. Finally, the rational dimension and criterion of Chinese historical district were presented by combining the example analysis.
