- Abstract:
- The restrained corrugated web beam was taken as research object, and the influences of uniform and non-uniform temperature distribution across section on catenary actions of axially restrained corrugated web beam were analyzed by using the finite element model. The results show that due to the thermal bending effect produced by the nonuniform temperature, the vertical deflection of the restrained steel beam is larger at the compression stage, and the axial force in beam is smaller. The failure temperature of the steel beam with uniform temperature is 6.2% higher than that of the steel beam with nonuniform temperature. The smaller the temperature ratio is, the more obvious the thermal bending effect of steel beam is, and the lower the failure temperature is.
