- Abstract:
- In order to study the influence of setting horizontal binding bands and constructional columnbeam on seismic behavior of thin motor composite wall with thin shell thermal block, nine wall specimens were designed. The seismic behaviors of walls were compared with or without horizontal binding bands and constructional columnbeam, and the influences of vertical compressed stress, size of opening and position of opening on the seismic behavior of masonry walls, and the failure mechanism were analyzed. The results show that the integral performance of the wall is increased through setting horizontal binding bands and constructional columnbeam. The bearing capacity changes from up and down parts of walls to the constructional column, so serious damage is concentrated in the constructional column. The seismic behavior of walls with horizontal binding bands and constructional columnbeam is obviously better than that without the construction, and the bearing capacity and deformation performance are increased, the hysteresis loops are plump, the stiffness degradation is slow and has residual stiffness, and the later deformation performance is good. The both sides of opening of composite masonry wall are seriously damaged, so the bearing capacity is weakened by opening.
