- Abstract:
- Firstly, the basic composition of the vertical lift bascule arch bridge and the realization of the opening and closing process were introduced. Then, using the finite element software MIDAS/Civil, the numerical simulation analysis was performed on a vertical lift bascule concrete-filled steel tubular pedestrian arch bridge to obtain dynamic characteristics. The vibration frequencies and vibration mode descriptions of the bridge in closed state and open state were studied, and the influence factors such as arch rib stiffness and the number of lateral bracing on the vibration characteristics were analyzed. The results show that the fifth order vibration frequency has quite difference between closed state and open state of the bridge, other vibration frequencies and vibration modes are almost the same. The longitudinal and vertical vibration amplitudes of the open section are notable when the bridge is in the open state. The vibration frequency and stability can be enhanced by increasing the arch rib stiffness. The number of lateral bracing has great impact on the coupled oscillation of arch rib. The research results can provide some references for the design and seismic analysis of the similar bridges.
