- In order to study the influence of cellulose fiber cement autoclaved plate (CCA plate) infill wall on the mechanical behavior of steel frame structures, the low frequency cyclic loading tests of steel frame and steel frame infilled with CCA plate were done. The steel frame and steel frame infilled with CCA plate were simulated by the finite element software ABAQUS. The bearing capacity, stiffness, energy dissipation capacity and seismic performance index of steel frame infilled with CCA plate were analyzed according to the results of test and finite element simulation. The results show that CCA plate infill wall will enhance the bearing capacity, lateral stiffness of steel frame. The CCA plate infill wall is involved in hysteretic energy dissipation of steel frame structure. The energy dissipation capacity of steel frame infilled with CCA plate is significantly better than that of the steel frame. Compared with steel frame, the peak load and initial stiffness of steel frame infilled with CCA plate are improved. When the drift angle reaches a certain limit, the stiffness of steel frame structure will suddenly change due to the damage of CCA plate infill wall, therefore the influence of CCA plate infill wall on the stiffness of steel frame structure shouldn’t be considered in the structural inelastic design. The results can promote the application of steel frame infilled with CCA plates.
