Abstract:
To study static elasto-plastic analysis methods about the seismic responses of long-span spatial structures, according to the Push-over method, a new static elasto-plastic analysis method named Push-down method, which was suitable for the long-span spatial structures, was proposed. Then the elasto-plastic capacity spectrum of the spatial structures and the seismic demand spectrum were established. Two kinds of vertical load patterns were proposed, that were the fundamental mode pattern of vertical loads and the multi-mode pattern of vertical loads. Two simple numerical examples were presented for verifying the validity and the accuracy of the method. The applicability scope of the Push-down method in long-span rigid spatial structure was suggested.
