Abstract:
Elastic dynamic characteristics analyses of flange frame column structure with different length flange components were carried out, and the distinguishing principle which this type of component was designed as frame column or shear-wall was given. The engineering example and its shaking table testwere used to prove the safety capability of flange frame column structure system. Results indicate that it is feasible in frame structure that designs special-shaped section vertical component as column whose equivalent section length-to-width ratio is from 3 to 6. Moreover, the flange frame column structure system has enough safety capability and can be applied to seismic fortification region in high-rise buildings.
