Abstract:
In order to study the dynamic characteristics of low-rise cold-formed thin-walled steel residential buildings under earthquake, a shaking table simulation seismic test was carried out for a 1:1 scale three storied cold-formed thin-walled steel residential building model. The damage features and dynamic characteristics of the prototype structure were got by the similitude relationships according to the testing results. Using finite element analysis programs, the simplified model structure was made. Finally, some advices on research and design for this structure system were put forward. The results show that the calculated values coincide with the test values. This kind of structure system is a new ideal aseismic structure system.
