Abstract:
For researching the loss of prestress caused by the stress relaxation of prestressed aramid fiber reinforced polymer(AFRP)sheets, an experiment about stress relaxation performances of aramid fiber sheets with 28 specimens was carried out. The results show that the higher the tension control stress is, the greater the stress relaxation loss becomes; the relaxation rate linearly depends on the time logarithm; stress relaxation is fast at the beginning and tends to be stable after 200 h; the stress relaxation loss of dipping AFRP sheets is lower than the sheets without dipping; stress relaxation of prestressed AFRP sheets caused by the temperature variations is not obvious under 10 ℃~30 ℃ conditions.
