Abstract:
In order to model the lateral load-deformation relations of reinforced concrete eccentric compression members with flexural-shear failure, a simplified method was presented based on the conventional section analysis techniques and test data analysis in the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center(PEER)structural performance database, and mechanical behaviors of flexural-shear failure columns were also considered. The study results show that the predicted load-deformation curves match the experimental data with adequate accuracy, so it can be used to simulate the skeleton curve of hysteresis model of reinforced concrete eccentric compression members with flexural-shear failure subjected to seismic load.
