Abstract:
For the seismic ductility of concrete columns with different reinforcement patterns, the nonlinear numerical simulation was carried out by using finite element software ANSYS for the same volumetric reinforcement ratio and concrete columns with different reinforcement patterns under given axial and monotonic horizontal loading. Meanwhile, the ductility coefficients of concrete columns with different reinforcement patterns were obtained. Theoretical formulas obtained in the literature were used to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of concrete-filled square steel tube(CSST)column under horizontal load, which were compared with finite numerical simulation results in ANSYS. The results indicate that concrete-filled square steel tube column has the highest seismic ductility and ultimate bearing capacity, core steel reinforced concrete(CSRC)column and concrete with central reinforcement(CCR)column have the same seismic ductility and bearing capacity, and the seismic ductilities of three kinds of columns are higher than those of reinforced concrete(RC)columns. The modeling methods, parameters used in software ANSYS and the conclusions are correct. The result of study can provide a reference for the optimization of reinforcement patterns of concrete columns in engineering design practice.
