Abstract:
The shear behavior of three recycled concrete U-shaped composite beams and one whole cast recycled concrete beam were tested and compared. Researches on the developments of cracks, failure modes and shear capacities of the U-shaped composited beams and whole cast beam were developed. The test results show that shear failure modes and mechanisms of recycled concrete U-shaped composite beams are similar to those of whole cast ordinary concrete beams. The calculation method of shear capacity of recycled concrete U-shaped composite beams can be referred to that of whole cast beams.
