Abstract:
Taking the integral tensioned steel-cable-membrane structure as an example, the corresponding finite element analysis model was established by considering the material nonlinearity and geometrical nonlinearity. The key members of the steel structure system and the cable system were obtained through the sensitivity analysis method. The progressive collapse resistance of the steel-cable-membrane structure system was analyzed by adopting the equivalent instantaneous loading method with the initial state. The results show that for the cable system, the back cables on both sides are the key members to maintain the overall performance of the structure. After the failures of cables in the middle, the deformation of the whole structure is small due to the existence of the backup load path. Due to the high redundancy of the lower support structure in the steel structure system, no matter the single truss column, the inclined bracing column or a pair of inclined braces fails, the structural response changes a little. However, after the lower chords of the middle of truss girder and the mast fail, it will cause a large change in structural response, and thus they can be determined as key members. The failures of the lower chords of the middle intermediate truss girder and the lower suspension cables will not cause the progressive collapse of the structure. Due to the absence of the backup load path, the failure of the back cable and the mast will cause partial damage of the structure.
