Abstract:
Large amount of old industrial buildings remain in Chinese inland, which are facing an urgent situation of reuse. According to the unique spatial scale and structural characteristics of metallurgy industrial buildings, it is an effective way to activate old buildings by associating them with the spatial needs of today's national fitness facilities. Combined with the case of Shaanxi old steel plant reconstruction project, space transformation of old metallurgy buildings and function placement of national fitness were studied and explored. The ABAQUS finite element software was used to simulate and analyze the vertical mechanical properties of the steel truss in the case. Local modification of existing building structures affecting new functions was performed by utilizing the design method of spatial function integration and transformation. The results show that the improved scheme can restore the vitality of the old industrial buildings while activate the space of the old industrial buildings, which can provide a reference for the reconstruction and reuse of similar old industrial building space.
